May's climb down on executive pay shows that she's strong on rhetoric, weak on action.

As Business Secretary I gave binding votes on executive pay policy to shareholders of publicly limited companies, requiring the approval of 50% of shareholders, and allowing a transparent single number for pay.

There was little enthusiasm from the Conservatives for this, but it has had a demonstrable effect on reducing executive pay.

Concerns Raised after John Radcliffe Trauma Unit closure

Two Liberal Democrat MPs have raised concerns after hearing the news that 52 inpatient beds will be moved from the Trauma Unit of the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford due to fire safety fears.

Eurozone growth puts UK at bottom of league table

The Eurozone has grown twice as fast as the UK, which in no time has gone from the top of the growth league to the bottom.

The government's shambolic handling of Brexit, which is denting business confidence by the day, is certainly not helping.
